# §692.2. Who is eligible to participate in the LEAP Program?

- (a) **State participation.** A State that meets the requirements in §§ [692.20](/cfr/34/692.20.md) and [692.21](/cfr/34/692.21.md) is eligible to receive payments under the LEAP program.
- (b) **Student participation.** A student must meet the requirements of [§ 692.40](/cfr/34/692.40.md) to be eligible to receive assistance from a State under the LEAP program.
