# §367.41. How does the Secretary evaluate an application for a discretionary grant?

- (a) The Secretary evaluates an application for a discretionary grant based on the selection criteria chosen from the general selection criteria found in EDGAR regulations at [34 CFR 75.210](/cfr/34/75.210.md).
- (b) In addition to the selection criteria, the Secretary considers the geographic distribution of projects in making an award.
