# §222.50. What definitions apply to this subpart?


In addition to the terms referenced or defined in [§ 222.2](/cfr/34/222.2.md), the following definitions apply to this subpart:

Child with a disability as defined in [34 CFR 300.8](/cfr/34/300.8.md).

Early intervention services as defined in [34 CFR 303.13](/cfr/34/303.13.md).

Free appropriate public education or FAPE as defined in [34 CFR 300.17](/cfr/34/300.17.md).

Individualized education program or IEP as defined in [34 CFR 300.22](/cfr/34/300.22.md).

Individualized family service plan or IFSP as defined in [34 CFR 303.20](/cfr/34/303.20.md).

Infant or toddler with a disability as defined in [34 CFR 303.21](/cfr/34/303.21.md).

Infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities, for these regulations, means both a “child with a disability” as defined in [34 CFR 300.8](/cfr/34/300.8.md) and an “infant or toddler with a disability” as defined in [34 CFR 303.21](/cfr/34/303.21.md).

Related services as defined in [34 CFR 300.34](/cfr/34/300.34.md).

Special education as defined in [34 CFR 300.39](/cfr/34/300.39.md).
