# §101.1. Scope of rules.


The rules of procedure in this part supplement §§ [100.9](/cfr/34/100.9.md) and [100.10](/cfr/34/100.10.md) of this subtitle and govern the practice for hearings, decisions, and administrative review conducted by the Department of Education, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (section [602](/cfr/34/602.md), [78](/cfr/34/78.md) Stat. 252) and [part 100](/cfr/34/part100.md) of this subtitle.
