# §175.201. Ventilation.


No person may operate a boat built after July 31, 1980, that has a gasoline engine for electrical generation, mechanical power, or propulsion unless it is equipped with an operable ventilation system that meets the requirements of 33 CFR [183.610 (a)](/cfr/33/183.610.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/33/183.610.md?p=b), [(d)](/cfr/33/183.610.md?p=d), [(e)](/cfr/33/183.610.md?p=e), and [(f)](/cfr/33/183.610.md?p=f) and [183.620(a)](/cfr/33/183.620.md?p=a).
