# §149.325. What emergency communications equipment must be on a manned deepwater port?


Each manned deepwater port must have a radio, telephone, or other means of emergency communication with the shore, vessels, and facilities in the vicinity in the event the primary communications system outlined in [§ 149.140](/cfr/33/149.140.md) of this part fails. This communication equipment must have an emergency power source.
