# §143.400. Applicability.


This subpart applies only to standby vessels meeting the requirements of this subpart and specifically designated in an Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP) required by [§ 146.140](/cfr/33/146.140.md) or [§ 146.210](/cfr/33/146.210.md) of this chapter to provide rapid evacuation assistance in the event of an emergency.
