# §284.1. Purpose.


This part implements policy under [32 CFR part 283](/cfr/32/part283.md) and prescribes procedures for considering waiver applications under 10 U.S.C. [2774](/usc/10/2774.md), [32](/usc/10/32.md) U.S.C. 716, and [5 U.S.C. 5584](/usc/5/5584.md).
