# §273.4. Policy.


It is DoD policy consistent with 41 CFR chapters [101](/cfr/41/ch101.md) and [102](/cfr/41/ch102.md) that excess DoD property must be screened and redistributed among the DoD Components, and reported as excess to the GSA. Pursuant to [40 U.S.C. 701](/usc/40/701.md), DoD will efficiently and economically dispose DoD FEPP.
