# §1602.14. Local board.


A local board or a panel thereof of the Selective Service System is a group of not less than three civilian members appointed by the President after nomination by a Governor to act on cases of registrants in accord with the provisions of [part 1648](/cfr/32/part1648.md) of this chapter.
