# §802.507. Commencement of investigation.

- (a) If it is determined that an investigation should be undertaken, such investigation shall commence no later than the end of the review period described in [§ 802.503](/cfr/31/802.503.md).
- (b) An official of the Department of the Treasury shall promptly inform the parties to a covered real estate transaction in writing of the commencement of an investigation.
