# §589.519. Emergency landings and air ambulance services in the Crimea region of Ukraine.

- (a) The receipt of, and payment of charges for, services rendered in connection with emergency landings in the Crimea region of Ukraine by aircraft registered in the United States or owned or controlled by, or chartered to, persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction that would be prohibited by [§ 589.206](/cfr/31/589.206.md), [§ 589.207](/cfr/31/589.207.md), or [§ 589.208](/cfr/31/589.208.md) are authorized.
- (b) U.S. persons are authorized to engage in all transactions prohibited by [§ 589.206](/cfr/31/589.206.md), [§ 589.207](/cfr/31/589.207.md), or [§ 589.208](/cfr/31/589.208.md) that are necessary to provide air ambulance and related medical services, including medical evacuation from the Crimea region of Ukraine, for individuals in the Crimea region of Ukraine.
