# §526.206. Exempt transactions.

- (a) **International Emergency Economic Powers Act.** The prohibitions contained in this part do not apply to any transactions that are exempt pursuant to section 203(b) of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act ([50 U.S.C. 1702(b)](/usc/50/1702.md?p=b)).
- (b) **Official business.** The prohibitions contained in [§ 526.201(a)](/cfr/31/526.201.md?p=a) do not apply to transactions for the conduct of the official business of the United States Government by employees, grantees, or contractors thereof.
