# §933.761. Areas designated unsuitable for surface coal mining by Act of Congress.


[Part 761](/cfr/30/part761.md) of this chapter, Areas Designated Unsuitable for Coal Mining by Act of Congress, with the exception of §§ [761.11(c)](/cfr/30/761.11.md?p=c) and [761.12(f)(1)](/cfr/30/761.12.md?p=f-1), shall apply to surface coal mining and reclamation operations, beginning one year after the effective date of this program. For the purposes of [part 933](/cfr/30/part933.md), the following §§ [761.11(c)](/cfr/30/761.11.md?p=c) and [761.12(f)(1)](/cfr/30/761.12.md?p=f-1) shall replace the existing §§ [761.11(c)](/cfr/30/761.11.md?p=c) and [761.12(f)(1)](/cfr/30/761.12.md?p=f-1).
