# §585.651. When may I construct complex or significant OCS facilities on my limited lease or any facilities on my project easement proposed under my GAP?


If you are applying for a project easement or installing a facility or a combination of facilities on your limited lease deemed by BOEM to be complex or significant, as provided in [§ 585.648(a)(1)](/cfr/30/585.648.md?p=a-1), you also must comply with the requirements of [30 CFR part 285](/cfr/30/part285.md), [subpart G](/cfr/30/subpartG.md), and submit your safety management system description required by [30 CFR 285.810](/cfr/30/285.810.md) before construction may begin.
