# §794.144. Records to be maintained.

- (a) **Form of records.** No particular order or form of records is prescribed by the recordkeeping regulations ([part 516](/cfr/29/part516.md) of this chapter). Every employer operating under section 7(b)(3) of the Act is, however, required to maintain and preserve records containing the information and data as set out in §§ [516.2](/cfr/29/516.2.md) and [516.21](/cfr/29/516.21.md) of this chapter.
