# §783.15. “State”.


As used in the Act, “State” means “any State of the United States or the District of Columbia or any Territory or possession of the United States” (Act, [section 3(c)](/cfr/29/3.md?p=c)). The application of this definition in determining questions of coverage under the Acts' definition of “commerce” and “produced” (see §§ [783.12](/cfr/29/783.12.md), [783.13](/cfr/29/783.13.md)) is discussed in [part 776](/cfr/29/part776.md) of this chapter, dealing with general coverage.
