# §779.502. Statutory provisions; regulations in part 1500 of this title.

- (a) The Act's prohibitions in relation to employment of child labor, which may have application to retailers, are found in [section 12(a)](/cfr/29/12.md?p=a) and [section 12(c)](/cfr/29/12.md?p=c). [Section 12(a)](/cfr/29/12.md?p=a) reads as follows:

  [Section 12(c)](/cfr/29/12.md?p=c) provides:

- (b) “Oppressive child labor” is defined by the Act, for purposes of the foregoing provisions, in the language set forth in [§ 779.505](/cfr/29/779.505.md).
- (c) [Sections 570.1 to 570.129](/cfr/29/570.1..570.129.md) of this chapter contain applicable regulations and a detailed discussion of the child labor provisions of the Act.
