# §541.702. Exempt and nonexempt work.


The term “exempt work” means all work described in §§ [541.100](/cfr/29/541.100.md), [541.101](/cfr/29/541.101.md), [541.200](/cfr/29/541.200.md), [541.300](/cfr/29/541.300.md), [541.301](/cfr/29/541.301.md), [541.302](/cfr/29/541.302.md), [541.303](/cfr/29/541.303.md), [541.304](/cfr/29/541.304.md), [541.400](/cfr/29/541.400.md) and [541.500](/cfr/29/541.500.md), and the activities directly and closely related to such work. All other work is considered “nonexempt.”
