# §541.1. Terms used in regulations.


Act means the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended.

Administrator means the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, United States Department of Labor. The Secretary of Labor has delegated to the Administrator the functions vested in the Secretary under sections [13(a)(1)](/cfr/29/13.md?p=a-1) and [13(a)(17)](/cfr/29/13.md?p=a-17) of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
