# §458.29. Election of officers.


Every labor organization subject to the CSRA or FSA shall conduct periodic elections of officers in a fair and democratic manner. All elections of officers shall be governed by the standards prescribed in sections [401 (a)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=c), [(d)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=d), [(e)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=e), [(f)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=f) and [(g)](/cfr/29/401.md?p=g) of the LMRDA to the extent that such standards are relevant to elections held pursuant to the provisions of 5 U.S.C. [7120](/usc/5/7120.md) or [22](/usc/5/22.md) U.S.C. 4117 .
