# §20.214. Refunds.

- (a) If a hearing official, at a hearing held pursuant to [§ 20.206](/cfr/29/20.206.md), determines that a debt is not legally due and owing to the Department, the Department shall promptly refund any amount collected by means of administrative wage garnishment.
- (b) Unless required by Federal law or contract, refunds under this section shall not bear interest.
