# §1691.4. Standards for investigation, reviews and hearings.


In any investigation, compliance review, hearing or other proceeding, agencies shall consider title VII case law and EEOC Guidelines, [29 CFR parts 1604-1607](/cfr/29/part1604-1607.md), unless inapplicable, in determining whether a recipient of Federal financial assistance has engaged in an unlawful employment practice.
