# §1602.56. Investigation of reporting or recordkeeping violations.


When it has received an allegation, or has reason to believe, that a person has not complied with the reporting or recordkeeping requirements of this part or of [part 1607](/cfr/29/part1607.md) of this chapter, the Commission may conduct an investigation of the alleged failure to comply.
