# §61.2. Purpose.


The purpose of this part is to establish Department of Justice procedures which supplement the relevant provisions of the NEPA regulations and to provide for the implementation of those provisions identified in [40 CFR 1507.3(b)](/cfr/40/1507.3.md?p=b).
