# §42.604. Standards for investigation, reviews and hearings.


In any investigation, compliance review, hearing or other proceeding, agencies shall consider title VII case law and EEOC Guidelines, 29 CFR parts [1604](/cfr/29/part1604.md) through [1607](/cfr/29/part1607.md), unless inapplicable, in determining whether a recipient of Federal financial assistance has engaged in an unlawful employment practice.
