# §15.16. Recommended decision.


Within a reasonable time after the close of the record of the hearings conducted under [§ 15.14](/cfr/28/15.14.md), the administrative law judge shall certify the record to the adjudicating official and shall submit to the adjudicating official written findings of fact, conclusions of law, and a recommended decision. The administrative law judge shall promptly make copies of the findings of fact, conclusions of law, and recommended decision available to the parties and the Secretary.
