# §0.89. Authority to seize arms and munitions of war.


The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is authorized to exercise the authority conferred upon the Attorney General by [section 1](/cfr/28/1.md) of E.O. 10863 of February 18, 1960 (25 FR 1507), relating to the seizure of arms and munitions of war, and other articles, pursuant to [section 1](/cfr/28/1.md) of title VI of the act of June 15, 1917, 40 Stat. 223, as amended by section 1 of the Act of August 13, 1953, 67 Stat. 577 ([22 U.S.C. 401](/usc/22/401.md)).
