# §771.43. Grounds for denial of applications for licenses or permits.


If, upon examination of any application (including a renewal application) for a license or permit, the Director of Industry Operations has reason to believe that the applicant is not entitled to such license or permit, the Director of Industry Operations shall issue a denial of the application. An applicant is not eligible for a license or permit if he fails to meet the requirements of [18 U.S.C. 843(b)](/usc/18/843.md?p=b) and [§ 555.49](/cfr/27/555.49.md) of this chapter.
