# §225.31. Manner of payments.


Unless specified otherwise in the minerals agreement, after production has been established, all payments due for royalties, bonuses, rentals and other payments under a minerals agreement shall be made to the Secretary or such other party as may be designated, and shall be made at such time as provided in [30 CFR chapter II](/cfr/30/chII.md), subchapters A and C. Prior to production, all bonus and rental payments, shall be made to the Superintendent or Area Director.
