# §170.618. Can a Tribe keep savings resulting from project administration?


All funds made available to a Tribe through the [23 U.S.C. 202(b)](/usc/23/202.md?p=b) are considered “tribal” and are available to the Tribe until expended. However, they must be expended on projects and activities referenced on an FHWA-approved TTPTIP.
