# §162.242. How will BIA decide whether to approve an amendment to an agricultural lease?


We will approve an agricultural lease amendment if:

- (a) The required consents have been obtained from the parties to the lease under [§ 162.230](/cfr/25/162.230.md) and any sureties; and
- (b) We find the amendment to be in the best interest of the Indian landowners, under the standards set forth in [§ 162.213](/cfr/25/162.213.md) of this subpart.
