# §162.019. May a lease address access to the leased premises by roads or other infrastructure?


A lease may address access to the leased premises by roads or other infrastructure, as long as the access complies with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including [25 CFR part 169](/cfr/25/part169.md). Roads or other infrastructure within the leased premises do not require compliance with [25 CFR part 169](/cfr/25/part169.md) during the term of the lease, unless otherwise stated in the lease.
