# §161.305. When is a decision by BIA regarding a permit effective?


BIA approval of a permit will be effective immediately upon signature, notwithstanding any appeal, which may be filed under [part 2 of this title](/cfr/25/part2.md). Copies of the approved permit will be provided to the permittee and made available to the Navajo Nation upon request.
