# §11.403. Unlawful restraint.


A person commits a misdemeanor if he or she knowingly:

- (a) Restrains another unlawfully in circumstances exposing him or her to risk of serious bodily injury; or
- (b) **Holds another in a condition of involuntary servitude.**
