# §103.22. How does BIA determine the amount of interest subsidy?


Interest subsidy payments should equal the difference between the lender's rate of interest and the rate determined in accordance with [25 U.S.C. 1464](/usc/25/1464.md). BIA will fix the amount of interest subsidy as of the date it approves the interest subsidy request.
