# §1000.310. What is required to request planning and negotiation grants?


A Tribe/Consortium seeking a planning or negotiation grant must submit the following:

- (a) A resolution or other final action by the Tribe's/Consortium's governing body requesting to begin or expand its participation in self-governance and to receive a grant; and
- (b) For a Tribe/Consortium required to perform an annual audit under the Single Audit Act and [subpart F](/cfr/25/subpartF.md) of [2 CFR part 200](/cfr/2/part200.md), evidence showing that the Tribe/Consortium has no uncorrected significant and material audit exceptions in the required annual audit of its self-determination or self-governance agreements with any Federal agency for the three fiscal years preceding its current request to participate in self-governance.
