# §983.1. When the PBV rule (24 CFR part 983) applies.


[Part 983](/cfr/24/part983.md) applies to the project-based voucher (PBV) program. The PBV program is authorized by section 8(o)(13) of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 ([42 U.S.C. 1437f(o)(13)](/usc/42/1437f.md?p=o-13)).
