# §982.2. Applicability.


[Part 982](/cfr/24/part982.md) contains the program requirements for the tenant-based housing assistance program under Section 8 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 ([42 U.S.C. 1437f](/usc/42/1437f.md)). The tenant-based program is the HCV program.
