# §1005.603. Up-Front Loan Guarantee Fee.


At settlement, the Direct Guarantee Lender will collect from the Borrower a one-time Up-Front Loan Guarantee Fee in an amount not exceeding three percent of the principal obligation of the [Section 184](/cfr/24/184.md) Guaranteed Loan. The amount will be set by HUD through a notice in the Federal Register.
