# §810.100. Purpose.


The purpose of the regulations in this subpart is to implement 23 U.S.C. [137](/usc/23/137.md), [142(a)(1)](/usc/23/142.md?p=a-1), [142(b)](/usc/23/142.md?p=b), and [149](/usc/23/149.md), which authorize various highway public mass transportation improvements and special use highway facilities as Federal-aid highway projects.
