# §23.1. Remittances made payable to the Department of State.


Except as otherwise specified in this title, remittances of moneys shall be drawn payable to the Department of State and sent to the Department for action and deposit. (See §§ [21.2](/cfr/22/21.2.md), [22.2](/cfr/22/22.2.md), and [51.40](/cfr/22/51.40.md) of this chapter.)
