# §1300.1. Purpose.


This part describes the organization, functions and operation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). MCC is a government corporation (as defined in [5 U.S.C. 103](/usc/5/103.md)) established by the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003 (Pub. L. 108-199, 118 Stat. 211.) Information about MCC is available from its Web site, http://www.mcc.gov.
