# §880.6500. Medical ultraviolet air purifier.

- (a) **Identification.** A medical ultraviolet air purifier is a device intended for medical purposes that is used to destroy bacteria in the air by exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
- (b) **Classification.** Class II (performance standards).
