# §556.286. Flunixin.

- (a) **Acceptable daily intake (ADI).** The ADI for total residue of flunixin is 0.72 µg/kg of body weight per day.
- (b) **Tolerances.** The tolerances for flunixin are:
  - (1) **Cattle.**
    - (i) **Liver (target tissue)—** 125 ppb flunixin free acid (marker residue).
    - (ii) **Muscle—** 25 ppb flunixin free acid.
    - (iii) **Milk—** 2 ppb 5-hydroxy flunixin (marker residue).
  - (2) **Swine.**
    - (i) **Liver (target tissue)—** 30 ppb flunixin free acid (marker residue).
    - (ii) **Muscle—** 25 ppb flunixin free acid.
