# §688.200. How are YouthBuild grants funded and administered?


The Secretary uses funds authorized for appropriation under WIOA [sec. 171(i)](/cfr/20/171.md?p=i) to administer YouthBuild as a national program under title I, subtitle D of WIOA. YouthBuild grants are awarded to eligible entities, as defined in [§ 688.120](/cfr/20/688.120.md), through the competitive selection process described in [§ 688.210](/cfr/20/688.210.md).
