# §685.500. What is supplemental youth workforce investment activity funding?


Pursuant to WIOA [sec. 127(a)(1)](/cfr/20/127.md?p=a-1), if Congress appropriates more than $925 million for WIOA youth workforce investment activities in a fiscal year, 4 percent of the excess amount must be used by the Department to provide workforce investment activities for eligible MSFW youth under WIOA [sec. 167](/cfr/20/167.md).
