# §680.820. Are there cost sharing requirements for local area incumbent worker training?


Yes. Under WIOA secs. [134(d)(4)(C)](/cfr/20/134.md?p=d-4-C) and [134(d)(4)(D)(i)-(iii)](/cfr/20/134.md?p=d-4-D-i..d-4-D-iii), employers participating in incumbent worker training are required to pay the non-Federal share of the cost of providing training to their incumbent workers. The amount of the non-Federal share depends upon the limits established under WIOA secs. [134(d)(4)(ii)(C)](/cfr/20/134.md?p=d-4-ii-C) and [(D)](/cfr/20/134.md?p=d-4-ii-D).
