# §255.3. When overpayments are to be recovered.


Overpayments shall be recovered in all cases except those in which recovery is waived under [§ 255.10](/cfr/20/255.10.md) of this part or administrative relief from recovery is granted under [§ 255.16](/cfr/20/255.16.md) of this part, or where the overpayment is compromised or recovery is terminated or suspended under [§ 255.18](/cfr/20/255.18.md) or [§ 255.19](/cfr/20/255.19.md) of this part.
