# §1136.1. Purpose of this part.

- (a) This part specifies standard wording of general terms and conditions concerning submission and maintenance of recipient information; records retention and access; remedies for noncompliance and termination; claims, disputes, and appeals; collection of amounts due; closeout; and after-the-award requirements.
- (b) It thereby implements OMB guidance for grants and cooperative agreements in multiple portions of [2 CFR part 200](/cfr/2/part200.md), as those portions apply to general terms and conditions. Specifically, this part implements:
  - (1) 2 CFR [200.113](/cfr/2/200.113.md) and [200.210(b)(1)(iii)](/cfr/2/200.210.md?p=b-1-iii);
  - (2) [2 CFR 200.300(b)](/cfr/2/200.300.md?p=b) as it refers to requirements in [2 CFR part 25](/cfr/2/part25.md); and
  - (3) [2 CFR 200.333 through 200.345](/cfr/2/200.333..200.345.md).
